Just for example, I was at the march yesterday, and along with others, confronted a number of people either making anti-Semitic comments or wielding posters with anti-Semitic imagery. These people represent a very small fraction of those attending the protest, and there were many people who were very receptive to education efforts surrounding anti-Semitism. There were however a few deeply unpleasant circumstances, with someone calling us “provocateurs” for being Jewish, someone telling me to “change my perceptions about anti-Semitism”, amongst other incidents. On one occasion, a member of the Jewish bloc suffered a particular incident where she was surrounded by a group of people shouting “Netanyahu is a Nazi”, after she articulated her offense at the use of Satanic imagery to decorate a placard.
